?-oponic bubbler

The most recent project is an aeroponic bubbler... or is it a DWC? The pots are barely touching the water.
The upper side... Three 2 inch pots withc LECA.

Ebb and flow

My semi-most recent project is an ebb and flow system. The problems so far is an unstable pump, a problematic bell siphon and the use of non-food grade plastics (I didn't think of it ehwn I built the thing). Some pictures follow...

A pumpkin plant. This one grew despite the system being turned off during a vacation. The vacation was the same week as the system was started so I brought all seeds. The ones I brought dissappeared (all but one), and this plant survived in the box since I forgot the seed for it.

New plans and summary of previous projects

This is a post without images.

The previous system with the white pots failed. First of all the flow through the tube of the air lifter was bad. I believe that the reason for this was something in the tube. Once algae started growing in them you know the slippery surface on the walls of water containers), the surface tension increased and water began to pour. So my tip is: if you are going to use tubing that doesn't work at first, give it a while and see if it improves.

I am thinking of trying to start up the pots againg, but I am currrently more into bubble aeroponics and ebb/flow systems. Posts on two new tries will show up eventually.

First plant

This plant was grown in dirt and bought at the store in the current condition. I washed of the dirt as best I could, and put it into the clay pellets.

Construction of hydroponic setup

This is my third hydroponic setup. The first two were simple ebb/flow versions using siphoning for emptying the growing pot. Anyway, inspired by windowfarms, this time I went for a good looking set up with high WAF.

Currently there are seeds for pimiento, sugar peas and basil. We will also try to plant lettuce bought as a plant grown in dirt. This to get plants growing as soon as possible, as well as transplantation (see what I did there? ;o).
